Sonica Istanbul 2025 October 1–4, 2025 | Babylon, Istanbul Launched in Glasgow by Cryptic in 2012, Sonica has grown into one of the world’s leading festivals for audiovisual and sonic arts. Now, for the very first time, it comes to Istanbul. Organized by Piksel.Creative Solutions, in partnership with Babylon and with the support of the British Council, the festival will transform Babylon into a stage for groundbreaking performances and immersive experiences. Over four days, internationally acclaimed artists will share the stage with leading names from Turkey’s vibrant scene. Rival Consoles, one of the most distinctive electronic producers on the Erased Tapes label, brings his emotionally charged and atmospheric sound. Rising European star TAAHLIAH will deliver a high-energy set that has made her one of the most exciting new voices in electronic music. London-based Halina Rice, praised for her “part-rave, part-art happening” audiovisual shows at festivals like MUTEK, ADE and LEV Madrid, will present her unique blend of multi-channel sound and visuals. Award-winning Canadian artist Martin Messier will stage a poetic work transforming water’s thousand-year journey into sound and light. Copenhagen-based collective NEKO3, winners of the Danish Music Critics Award, will merge performance, visuals and music into an innovative and unpredictable live experience. Alongside them, the program features Robbie Thomson, Konx-om-Pax, Tatsuru Arai, Koi Failure, Non Square, and the live-coding duo RAW. Beyond performances, Sonica Istanbul will also host workshops, offering audiences the chance to engage directly with artists and experts — turning the festival into not only a stage, but also a space for learning and exploration.
